ln west Tyrol, extending from north to south lies the wildly, romantic Pitztal. It begins in Imst in the Upper Inn Valley and ends by the mighty glaciers just below Austria's second highest mountain, the Wildspitze (3774m). The 4Okm long Pitztal lies parallel to the more well known Ötztal. Innerpitzal is 2lkm long and is made up ofmany hamlets. The valley is enriched by many waterfalls, some swift, narrow falls, others slower and gentler. It isa paradise for mountaineers and hikers. The small hamlets in the valley are the starting points for unforgettable walks and hikes for the young and old. Even amateur sportsmen can enjoy the imposing high mountain andglacier world of the numerous 3000m high peaks and the most enthusiastic mountaineers will meet their match. Local, welltrained guides will take youop to this haven of peace with its glorious alpine flowers and abundance of wild life.
